Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe (Italian style)

Ingredients:
- 5lbs of roma tomato
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove , halved
- 1 sprig of Italian basil
- 1 bay leaf
Preparation
- Cut the tomato in half and discard the seeds.
- Press the cut side of the tomato against the large holes of a grater until only the skin remains. Discard the shells.
- In a deep skillet or pot, add the grated tomato, salt, oil, garlic, basil, and bay leaf over high heat. When it starts to boil, reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook until the sauce is about half full, about 10-15min, stirring occasionally.
- Add salt and pepper to your liking. Stir-fry with your favorite pasta/spaghetti.
